Email Michelle Malkin; Make Valor-IT Lots of $$$$

URGENT URGENT VALOR-IT $$$$ URGENT URGENT

Thanks to the kind invites from BostonMaggie and xformed (who saw a post of mine over at CDR Salamander's place), I joined up to Valor-IT on either Thursday or Friday (And, by golly, folks have been emailing me saying stuff like "Thanks, cool blog, welcome."). Nice crowd.

So you can imagine how I felt when I saw that Michelle Malkin put up a post saying the following:

"...You may recall that on the second day of competition, I made a pledge:

"In addition to my donation yesterday, I will chip in another $25 for each left-wing blogger, up to 10 total, who signs up today. Send me an e-mail and let me know which team you’ve joined."

You may be interested to learn that I haven’t received a single e-mail. Soldiers’ Angels webmaster Holly Aho says she has been on the lookout for any left-wing Project Valour-IT members and would give me a heads-up if any signed up. So far, to our knowledge, none have..."

How did I feel? I FELT LIKE I WAS GONNA MAKE VALOR-IT A BUNCH OF MONEY!!!! So, with that challenge (and a challenge echoed by many Malkin commenters), will you, please, email Michelle Malkin AND Holly Aho? And tell them Springboard is "on board" and that they can donate TEAM NAVY, via the link on my page, anytime, day or night! (she's probably going to wriggle out of it by saying "he didn't join on October 30, so I'm not giving, neagh neagh," but, as my mom used to say, there's a special place in hell for such poor sportsmanship (or, to be truly politically correct in the liberal sense, sportswomanbloggership. Whatever).

I'd hate to see Michelle's politicization of a charity event ruin what has, for us here at the Springboard, been a real positive event--an event that has done nothing but build a stronger community of milbloggers--of all stripes, colors and political persuasions...(Hey, it's a liberal blog, so what would it be without some good old fashioned holier-than-thou-ness!) But jokes aside, I do hope Michelle is doing her postings in an all-in-good-fun fundraising sense than...the alternative..

P.S. For each person who tells Michelle to re-post her defeatocrat cheer on the front page, I'm in for five bucks, $20 if she does it!! CC me; email address is in my profile.

P.P.S. And I'm from San Francisco, too. The town Michelle loves to bash! Heh..
